We aim to create self-confident, self-motivated, strong-willed, well-groomed and well-rounded intellectual citizens. Today’s day and age bring enormous options and opportunities. But, with numerous alternatives, at times, comes various distractions resulting in high level of uncertainty for the students. We believe, for one to make the right choice/decision, free will on the one hand and rules laced with ethics & morals on the other, need to strike a balance. Based on these principles, Green Valley Academy simplifies its pedagogy by focusing on the basic skills. Mathematics and Language Skills are our prime focus area throughout the academic term.
Analytical skills are the need of the hour. We see expansion of courses on Data Analytics everywhere and the future certainly lies in the hands of people who can analyze, think and react swiftly. Our studies suggest that analytical skills are best developed in people who are good at Mathematics. Though, many are found to struggle with mathematics in general, but not the students of Green Valley Academy. Our special focus on Mathematics helps us inculcate superb analytical abilities in our students. They have clear understanding of concepts with a thorough idea of how numbers form every part of our lives. A student of GVA would rather enjoy solving challenges with this tremendously practical skill.
After conducting various studies, our international education consultants have concluded that having good mathematical skills lets students understand better subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Geography, Economics and Accounting. On the other hand, almost all competitive examinations require extraordinary mathematical skills. Hence our focus on mathematics helps us hone our students for such competitive examinations right from the start.
With all the knowledge of the world, one is still half way through to a successful life or a career. The other half consists of Communication Skills. What’s the use of knowledge if one cannot apply, express and project it as and when required in day to day life. For one to excel in communication, one’s language skills need to be good. Hence language is given special importance in Green Valley Academy keeping in focus the importance of English language, the medium of teaching all subjects is in English.
Hindi Language on the other hand being the mother tongue for a majority of students is again given equal importance. Students are put through regular language tests, both in English and Hindi. Debates and Extempore are highly encouraged by way of competitions and events.
Having secured the two most important pillars, that is to say analytical and communication skills, our students exhibit extraordinary caliber. We believe school education is a journey every child must enjoy. For it to stay beautiful, the curriculum must be supplemented by extracurricular activities. Many-a-times, students from different classes are seen addressing the Morning Assembly while reading out the important news from the newspapers and also sharing responsibilities during various other school activities.
Further, as per the founding members’ preference toward the theory of music and dance being catalysts of learning, the school boasts a mammoth sized Music and Dance Academy with best of faculty belonging to esteemed Gharana’s of the old world of music and dance. Similarly, physical activities are also given equal importance too. Hence, Military-styled March-Pasts and regular Personal Training are provided by dedicated sports persons of GVA.
